Come join us Thursday June 25th Mother Cabrini Shrine 9am - 3pm
It isn't easy to leave behind the things that burden us, even for a day. But God has always used desert places — quiet, stripped down, unhurried spaces— to speak most tenderly to His people. This retreat is an invitation to get away with God, to slow down long enough to notice what has been shaping you, and to hear what He is longing to say to your heart.
Drawing from the Exodus story, we will explore the "Egypt" within us — the messages, identities and attachments that follow us even into the good things God is doing in our lives. And then we will let the desert do what the desert does: strip away the noise long enough to hear another Voice. Scripture and song will anchor us in the theme, and a retreat guide will offer optional prompts and reflections to help you engage the theme as you practice silence and solitude. No prior experience with retreat is necessary — just a willingness to show up and be with Him.
