Farm To Table Dinner at Singing Spring Farm

Join us for a special evening on Sunday, May 17th celebrating the launch of the Roanoke Region Food and Farm Trail and New River Valley Food Guide with an immersive farm-to-table experience in the heart of Craig County.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Singing Spring Farm, this gathering brings together community, local agriculture, and seasonal cuisine. Chefs Laina Schneider and Lindsey Harper of Live, Work, Eat, Grow will prepare a thoughtfully-crafted meal featuring seasonal produce, meat, and dairy from the farm, alongside ingredients from other regional producers. All dishes thoughtfully paired with Blindhouse Beer Co. beverages.

4:00–4:45 PM (Optional): Farm Tour at Smoke In Chimneys

Begin the evening with an optional behind-the-scenes tour of Smoke In Chimneys, a revitalized 1930s trout hatchery operated by Ty and Shannon Walker. Learn how trout are raised in a gravity-fed, spring-powered pond system using traditional methods that prioritize quality and sustainability.

5:00–7:30 PM: Farm Tour & Dinner at Singing Spring Farm
Continue the experience with a guided tour of the farm followed by a shared outdoor dinner highlighting the flavors of the region and season.
